- no drilling, no numbing, instant results

At our dental practice in Colchester, we understand how frustrating and even embarrassing it can be to experience dental issues like abrasion wear on your teeth. That's why we offer personalized and artistic solutions to help you achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.

Abrasions on your teeth can occur for various reasons, such as brushing too hard or grinding your teeth. Over time, these abrasions can wear down your tooth enamel and expose the inner layer of the tooth called the dentin, which can be sensitive and vulnerable to further damage.

One effective treatment for abrasion wear is composite fillings. These fillings are made of a tooth-colored material that can be matched to the specific shade of the tooth, making them an ideal option for restoring a natural-looking appearance. The layering of different shades of the composite fillings can recreate the natural color and texture of the tooth, making it look and feel brand new again.

In addition to improving the appearance of your tooth, composite fillings also provide protection to the exposed dentin, preventing further damage or decay. It is a relatively quick and painless procedure that can save you from more invasive treatments like crowns or veneers.

As a kind and friendly dentist, I understand that dental visits can be intimidating for some patients. That's why our team takes a compassionate approach to dental care and strives to make each visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

So if you're experiencing abrasion wear on your teeth, don't hesitate to schedule a consultation with us. Together, we can work towards achieving a smile that you'll be proud to show off.

Dental abrasion can cause small, v-shaped ridges on the surface of the teeth that face the cheeks. Tooth decay may also be present, and in severe cases, tooth loss may occur. A common symptom of dental abrasion is increased dental sensitivity due to the loss of dental enamel.

Abrasion cavity is commonly found on the necks of your teeth. This is due to various reasons, harsh brushing, instability of the biting forces of teeth, gums thinning, tooth movement and many more. The good news is that we can protect the exposed inner part of the tooth with simple gentle composite fillings to restore the tooth and allievate any symptoms including tooth sensitivity.
